1. About these terms

These Terms & Conditions govern services provided by Vikshara Ventures Laundry Unit ("we", "us", "our"), operating from N019 / 19 Vembuliamman Koil Street, Virugambakkam, Chennai – 600092, under the UCLEAN franchise. By placing an order through this website, WhatsApp, phone or in person, you agree to these terms.

2. Orders and acceptance

• ✦A pickup request submitted through this website or WhatsApp is a request, not a confirmed order. Every pickup is confirmed by our team before it is treated as an order.
• ✦All garments are inspected at intake. The final processing category (Wash & Fold, Wash & Iron, Premium Laundry or Dry Cleaning) is determined after inspection, and we will inform you if an item needs a different category than the one selected.
• ✦We may decline items that are heavily soiled, damaged, infested, or unsuitable for the requested process.

3. Pricing and payment

• ✦Laundry by Kg is billed by actual weight at intake: Wash & Fold ₹115/kg, Wash & Iron ₹145/kg, Premium Laundry ₹211/kg.
• ✦Dhotis, sarees and dry-clean-only garments are not part of standard Laundry by Kg and are priced separately.
• ✦Express Laundry is charged at 1.5× the usual price, subject to garment type, order acceptance, processing requirements and store capacity; the 6-hour target is not guaranteed for every garment.
• ✦Monthly plans are valid for 1 month from activation with no extension, and unused quantity does not roll over.
• ✦Offers and discounts cannot be combined unless stated, and do not apply to monthly plans unless specifically announced.
• ✦Placing an order means you accept the price communicated at confirmation or intake.

4. Pickup and delivery

• ✦Free pickup and delivery applies to orders of 3 KG and above within 5 km of our main hub in Virugambakkam (West KK Nagar). All distances are calculated from this hub.
• ✦Beyond 5 km, an additional delivery charge may apply based on distance; we confirm this with you before pickup.
• ✦Delivery timelines are estimates. We will inform you promptly if processing requirements or capacity affect your delivery.
• ✦Please check pockets before handing over garments. We are not responsible for cash, jewellery, documents or other valuables left in garments.

5. Garment care, damage and loss

• ✦We process every garment according to its care label and fabric requirements. Normal wear, pre-existing damage, colour bleeding from unstable dyes, and manufacturer defects are not our responsibility.
• ✦If loss or damage is caused by our process, our liability is limited to a maximum of 10× the service charge for the affected item, and in all cases capped at the item's current market value considering its age and condition.
• ✦Buttons, embellishments and decorative attachments carry inherent processing risk; we handle them with care but cannot guarantee against pre-existing weakness.

6. Claims window

Any concern about an order — damage, missing items or service issues — must be reported within 48 hours of delivery, with the order details and, where possible, photos. Claims reported after this window cannot be verified and may not be serviceable.

7. Stain removal

Stain removal results depend on fabric, stain type, age of the stain and any previous treatment. Complete removal cannot always be guaranteed, and attempting treatment does not carry a result guarantee.

8. Items we do not accept

• ✦Leather bags (bag cleaning is limited to fabric school, college and laptop bags).
• ✦Items that pose a hygiene or safety risk to our team or other customers' orders.

9. Franchise disclosure

Vikshara Ventures Laundry Unit is an independent locally operated business and your sole contracting party for all orders. We operate under the UCLEAN franchise; UCLEAN's corporate entity is not a party to your order.

10. General

• ✦We may update these terms from time to time; the version on this page applies to new orders.
• ✦These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu having jurisdiction.
